Hello everyone!

I am having trouble with some random hoses coming from the carburetor, it seems to be coming from between the two air intake valves on the left and between the two on the right, the bike starts but has trouble sometimes with staying on sometimes and starting after it dies.
If i close the hoses someone the bike struggles and stalls, very weird to me.. hope you can help me!
Here are some pictures to look at:
(I cant post links yet so just copy and paste (: )

Some pictures are dublicated and turned but you should be able to see.

Here is a video about some problems that are occuring, in the beginning the bike reving itself up when choke is applied, struggling when i hold the hose and in the end i just rev it by myself.

Thanks in advance!

Your intake manifold rubbers are shot. Wonder if they're leaking air and you're actually 'fixing' a different problem?

EDIT: I'd also reckon they're drain hoses for if the floats get stuck open. I base this on nothing other than that convenient length to pour fuel out of the bottom of the bike.

I know and have the manifolds to fix them but i dont think they are leaking for know since if i spray starter fluid into the cracks nothing happens so im guessing thats not the issue yet but i will tackle that problem soon Smile

I cant see what they connect to but they look pretty big for carb overflow pipes and more like air filter drain tubes which allow oily gunk 'breathed' by the motor out.

Aren't airbox drain hoses supposed to have a plug on the end to stop shit sucking up?

Airboxes don't have drains in general, it defeats the object of having an airfilter if you have an alternate way for air to get into the airbox.

Generally, the pipe out of the airbox is actually a crankcase breather and allows cleaned air in and out of the crankcase as needed.

My air box has a drain (with a valve of course) to drain the gunk out periodically.

Mine too - the AJS has a valve that you squeeze to drain. The Bandit just seems to have a bung in the end of the pipe.

They look like float bowl breathers to me. They keep the float bowl at atmospheric pressure in order to force fuel up the jets when the engine is running and causing low pressure in the choke.

Should be open on the ends.
