Some do. I have certainly, had 2 that do. But the GPS issue was always related to the way the APP handled the GPS tracking.
You could walk in a straight line and it would have you walking in zigzags. I have even crossed a dam while walking round it. So a 1K walk turned into a 3K walk.

The best is the attached file. A walk round the dam.... Laughing
