CPI Sprint 125

Hello Everyone..

My first post here!

After a lot of years off road (health issues) I am getting back on the steel horse, and my lad could not be more keen.

We brought a CPI Sprint 125 (2002) , which felt good during the test ride.

However, now I am faced with the dreaded 'no spark' problem and the Sprint is fitted with CDI which poses a few questions:

1) Is the Sprint CDI an AC or DC type?
2) Should there be oil behind the stator cover?
3) Is there any bike shops in Cornwall that carry them in stock?

I have been ALL over the internet collecting advice, but as the bike came with a generic chinese Haynes manual I am lacking specifics of my bike, like coil winding resistances, wiring diagram, etc

Any help with this is greatly appreciated,
