Is it? I'm not sure how that will go down with the muricans

They don't have beef with those Indians.

Hmm, speculation that Bajaj might [surprise] the market with a smart acquisition in the premium segment.

However, I'd assume it's just a bit of posturing, or maybe just angling to get a look at Ducati's books.

It's not a crazy match. Bajaj do high performance machines up to 150cc, and it's conceivable that one day they may even go as high as 200s.

I thought they made all the smaller KTMs (390 and below)? Nothing wrong with the build quality on those machines Whistle

MCN claims that Ducati is not for sale.

So, probably sold to Jianshe on Monday then. Whistle

VisorDown report as fact an unsourced report by India Times that Eicher will bid for Ducati.

Because of course when you're putting together a private bid for a company, you'd be all about leaking it to the press, including the amount.

Reuters float the same balloon but claim that the Kraut Kommies are revolting over them selling off a profit making business. I can see their point, I don't see Eicher retaining much more than the name and the designs and tooling once money have changes hands.

Note to VW: cash up front, and count every rupee.

I thought this was all sorted and that HD were the new owners of Ducati?

Did I read some Bullshit?

Probably better for Ducati to be owned by the Yanks or the Indians that by the Chinese with their 100's of years of development in state of the art powered two wheel vehicles.

See Kraut Kommies above.

And they're quite right. The whole outfit would be shipped to Chennai, steering lock, head stock and ignition barrel, the moment the ink is dry.
