Taking into account that an average sized car can't safely pass a cyclist on a non major road without crossing onto the opposite side of the road, riding two abreast actually makes it easier to pass cyclists, as you will obviously need less of a gap in incoming traffic.

Unfortunately, most people are too thick to realise this, or are the sort of close passing cunts who deserve to have their children get cancer.
