currently on Cyberpunk 2077 which has been fun so far.
a game featuring Keano Reeves, how cool is that Very Happy

The mission where you play as Johnny Silverhand was cool as... then he becomes a nonce in your head.

Any point if you have zero affinity for Harry Potter? It does look good.

Pc, zero problems at all. I'm on a 7600x and a 4080 with everything absolutely max on 2k, 140+ frames, butter smooth.

Had a frame drop at the start but day one patch and setting shader cache to 10GB sorted that.

Unsure on ps5/xbox performance but I've heard it's fairly standard performance and looks great.

If you don't like Harry Potter, but do like fable/god of war esque adventure, it's great. I do like HP but there's no reference to him, there is a bit of fluff at the beginning to get through but 5hrs in and I'm about to sit through another 6 or 7 if I have time.

Started playing Hell Let Loose and not sure what to make of it. It's very good looking and the controls are great but I spend ages just walking to where I need to go and then get shot from god knows where. It's too much of a simulator I think.

I might get the new Harry Potter game but I've actually been told by the missus that I have to pirate it because J. K. Rowling is a transphobe Laughing

Some sessions are slow, but that very much depends on your team mates. I enjoy 4 out of 5 sessions (PS5). Learning how to play the game also helps a lot to enjoy it. It's not just about running around and shooting everything that moves. But once again, it all goes down to your team mates. I also enjoy the ranking system.

Honestly don't give up, once you understand the maps it's a bloody fantastic game. You need a team / squad that will use coms, if no one is speaking change squad.

I'm not giving up yet, I've probably played 3 hours so far and I'm having a lot more fun. I was having a big problem spotting people but followed some graphics settings guides and turned SSAO off and it's far better now. I still have no idea what I'm doing and don't really understand the objectives so I'm going to watch some guides. I'm getting a fair amount of kills a match so I don't think I'm being totally useless though Laughing

One thing that really bugs me is the suppression crap where the screen goes all burry when you get shot at Mad It's already impossible to see who's shooting at you and then they add that nonsense.

Me, not even learned my first curse yet. I just finished the quest where you do your first ancient magic trial.

I am enjoying it more than I did with God of War.

EDIT:

Playing on PlayStation 5 and not experienced any bugs or graphics issues.

Ahahah yeah, for me I was out of gaming for an ages as nothing really appealed to me as battlefield has become COD, not much team play required.

I really like the way the squads work and the classes are required, you still get some squads that don't have SL or all riflemen that have no clue what they are doing.

I have changed classes a fair amount now, I like being Anti Tank or Engineer.

Objectives change dependant on the type of game you're playing but momentum is key and a game can quickly change and from a team about to win can quickly lose if you take out their garry(s).

Im about 200 hours in and really like it, well apart from the Russian maps.

1st comando server is pretty good btw.

I got back into Ride 4. It seems better now somehow. I wonder if it's been patched or something? The first license level is harder than it needs to be but I've got better at the game. I think turning of the ABS has helped.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

What put me off all the Ride titles I've played is you can't with the pro physics (or whatever it's called) use linked brakes.

Seems like a small thing but I don't enjoy the dumbed-down physics, yet trying to brake with a trigger and a button feels really unnatural.

Not gonna post spoilers, but even I know the first one is considered a masterpiece and the second was hugely controversial, when I don't even like the franchise.

I'll ignore the wokeness then. I'm only interested in the slashy slashy, shooty shooty, killy killy type stuff.

I take it the wokeness was the lesbianism? I wouldn't look at porn hub then.

Talking of Wokeness had a little dabble with the ol' Hogwarts Legacy...

Pros: even if you're not a Hairy Pewter fan it's an entertaining game. Loads of daft side quests and mini-games in the whimsical style of the books. Relatively casual compared to the likes of God of War.

Cons: horrifically Woke Sad Despite being set in the 1800's the cast are "for a modern audience." For the height of Empire I'd expect a lot less black people and a lot more Indians. Also, where are the white Africans? (Or Indian Africans for that matter.) The dialogue also breaks into "modern" as one of the professors has the Gods awful habit of "reaching out" Shocked

I started playing as a goodie-two-shoes Ravenclaw lad but swiftly found that unsatisfying and instead went for a Slytherin bitch who's an absolute c*nt to her classmates at every opportunity and while it's not up there with Mass Effect's Dark Shepard there are a few spots where one can be unnecessarily cruel... which is nice Smile

Finally finished Borderlands 3 and all it's DLC.
The 3 of the 4 main DLCs were very enjoyable, quite complex little stories with side missions etc. Sadly, the last one I played, the final "Mysteriouser" (or whatever it was called), was short and cack. Pity, 'cos it spoiled my overall feeling a bit, and I enjoyed the earlier side quests on the same theme.
But that's probably the end of that, as I can't be arsed with New Game+ stuff and playing the whole thing again.

Started on Prey now (picked up free through Epic a while back) and I'm really enjoying it a lot. Still FPS, but otherwise pretty much the exact opposite of BLs!
