2001 GSXR 600 (K1) track bike,
Side stand bolts had loosened enough to let the stand rock and wreck the threads in the frame. I can deal with no side stand but it's bugging the hell out of me after just one track day Rolling Eyes.

So the question is, KeySert/Helicoil/TimeSert?
Has anyone used any of these before?

My main concern is that it's a highly stressed application and therefore am hoping someone know's which is more suitable?

Thoughts much appreciated.

Not sure what they're mounted in. Can you get a nut on the other side? Drill to the next size up and re-tap?

The bolts go in where the frame is angled so to drill them out and put longer bolts in really an option :-\

I'm also concerned that going up a bolt size will require drilling out the side stand bracket leaving less material and a little weaker so keeping the same size bolt would be an advantage...

Drill and Helicoil if you don't want to go to the next size up.

I was thinking this but have read that that KeySert/TimeSerts are better for higher loading than HeliCoils? Am curious if anyone has any experience with HeliCoils in high loading applications or experience with key/timeserts?
