Annoyingly already mis-posted here: https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=322423

I'll just repeat myself, like deja vu all over again:

Like fvck will they ever actually deploy tyre deflators against a moving scootay. Spray-and-pray-for-an-arrest, maybe.

I - genuinely - wonder how long it will be before one of those "scramblers" gets jacked.

It's like the Drake equation.

Chance of your bike being nicked X
Chance of a Dibble being on hand X
Chance of that Dibble having spray X
Chance of then hitting the pikey with it X
Chance of them being collared later X
Chance of them being tested for spray X
Chance of it still being on them X
Chance of it being tied to that specific crime X
Chance of them being prosecuted X
Chance of them being convicted X
Chance of them actually being jailed =

Why are honest people alone in the universe?

Is there a reason why places with a large black population have so many bike thefts?

A community that actively celebrates being a 'thug' and is told to hate white people. What outcome do you expect? Eh?

It seems like most blacks are killed by blacks and a majority (not all) of moped/bike thefts and acid attacks are carried out by blacks, what on earth is wrong with these people.

Single mothers, no positive male role model, low impulse control, poor empathy, little ability to plan for the future.

Also something about inequality and the legacy of structural oppression.

Falling out of the happy path of education early, seeing no hope to "make it" in the world, seeing all these successful people so close but also completely alienated, and wanting their stuff.

Also, I bet it's a blast, going hunting and getting to have fun on thousands of pounds worth of machinery you didn't have to pay for. The thrill of the chase, etc.

It's beyond ridiculous at this point. I'm currently going via Green Lanes to the A10 to avoid the area. If it spreads and I need to detour further, it'll start making sense to take the train.

Or, more likely, will sell up and ship out, leaving ahead of Brexit - two birds with one stone.

I'd be surprised if that wasn't already part of their 'patch'. The attempted bike jacking where the car rammed the perps was on the North Circular (near Arnos Grove).

I've seen plenty of the London thieves up close. They're equally white as they are black, not seen any East Asians at it mind, obviously the master race.

It's cultural rather than racial, certain cultural behaviours show up more in "diverse" communities, but they're not a result of skin colour.

None of that makes a difference mind when your bikes been nicked. I'm now actually choosing not to replace my fazer, as somebody who has been riding rain and shine for over 11 years I have eventually been put off by the wave of thefts and crime and the lack of government and police action.

I hate the tube with a passion, but I can't stand being up at the window every time I hear a noise outside. I don't want to have to keep an eye on my mirrors when I pull up at traffic lights. I don't want to have to chain my bike up when I pay for fuel. I don't want to leave it unlocked for a single night and find its been burned to the ground.

I've basically had enough. The theives have ruined it for me. Thumbs Down

I don't doubt whiteys are at it as well, but in the specific areas we're talking about I'll eat my hat if they're not black. And it's a black thang, I don't know of a race that celebrates robbing another race like they do.

Baklaf started off as a black thing in the states, you get embarrassing whitey copycats like those wannabes down in Thamesmead, but it's rather pathetic.

It's definitely cultural. If you must generalize the UK situation, at least do it with UK categories; these people are in the underclass. There are lots of white underclass too. The local scooter gangs nearer to where I live are predominantly white - they haven't hassled me directly, yet. I've located the local burnt out scooter graveyard though.

The video you linked to is connected to US-specific issues. Black people in America have a history of slavery and injustice which leads to a feeling of grievance, especially for people who haven't had a good start in life, which in turn can lead to celebration of the tables being turned, just like any revenge thriller might tickle (or Bickle?) your own personal fantasies.

It's a mix of perceived injustice, hopelessness, jealousy and alienation that drives this.

Personally, I come from a poor background and I know people who failed to walk the narrow precipitous path, and externalized the blame. When the world has wronged you (you think), you feel a lot less guilty striking out.
