Got a mate with a trike that's asked me if I can tell him what motor is in it. Original motor (250) was swapped out for, allegedly, one from CBR600 couple of years back. Trouble is he doesn't know a year, let alone a model it came out of, to get spares for it. It seems to run well enough, and it was cheap.

Is there a site or club that can tell me they year/model? I have a suspicion that it's Probably a Hornet motor, the top end just isn't there.

Haven't taken any of the trike - I've told him to take some. I'll update the OP when I get them.

Number is PC19E2004***

Cheers.

Narrowed it down to CBR600FK-FL. Need to translate that to years, as I'm not sure he'll remember model numbers. Sure there's a site out there somewhere that'll pin it down, but I'm going to go play on the bike for the day, so it'll have to wait.
