Stop talking (typing) about it and find a local Bike Training School to talk to.

When you finish your CBT training, ask to ride a bigger bike and you will immediately forget the idea of sticking with a 125 bike/scooter...

Much more sensible to get your full licence than a toy A1 Licence.

I believe you will need to have 'L' plates until you get a licence.

Stop waffling, he's in Belgium.

They don't appear to give A1 as a freebie with B (car) licences, but that might be incomplete information.

I do fully agree that if you have to do training and tests in order to get a licence, then you might as well go straight to full A rather than wasting time on a tiddler.

I was under the impression that EU rules were pretty uniform on bike licencing...

I'm sure It does have some minor differences but it does look pretty uniform from what I can find ont'interweb thingy.
A lot of things like this; https://www.autoevolution.com/news/motorcycle-licensing-in-europe-explained-90006.html

Apart from that some countries give A1 as a freebie with car licences, as they're allowed to do under the 3DLD (which doesn't countenance our half-a-licence provisionaL riding).

It doesn't appear that Belgium does that, but I might be wrong - OP seems to imply that he's been riding around on scootays without doing training or tests.

I would do a flowchart but it basically boils down to...

Do you have a vagina = scooter.
Do you not have a vagina = Whatever 2T 125 you can find that actually still runs.

The YZF125s are for trans. Watch out for Dan.
