Might go to the peak district for a couple of days on my birthday, weather dependant. Something like the 6th June.

16th June I'm going away with a small group to Wales for 3 nights.

That's it so far.

I'll be updating this thread as I go, for those interested:

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=316950

Currently hoping to add the Route des Grandes Alpes to it, at least, after a quick zap across the south of France. Unless the weather in central Europe turns to shite again, in which case I might stay in Spain for a bit longer instead.

CMA National Rally in July. Taking the Beta, it's about 90 miles, so three short hops with coffee breaks. But, we will have a few acres of private woodland for dirt bikes. Thumbs Up

Riding the Honda up to the Lake District in Sept staying in Eskdale for a week, do the usual mountain passes whilst I'm there.

Probably go to work and back. Might even throw in a curve ball and use a different road to get there.

I'm a boring sod.

I have family just outside Brum so may go to see them and use it as a launch pad for spending a few days in Welsh Wales?

Or I might just throw a dart at the map and go where it lands on Smile

I was thinking of taking the Chinese pos on a small tour just to see how it holds up to carrying luggage and how I get on sleeping under canvas again.

Just back from seeing what the fuss about the N260 was and its well worth its reputation with a bit of everything and the bonus of empty roads. I think they must breed Gs's in the ferry cargo deck.

My dad passed away last year and he used to take us fishing to loch awe (NW of Glasgow).

He never told anyone exactly where the little bay was that we used to pitch the tent and fish, so I want to go and find it.

Its fairly massive so it will take a while, riding up and down the length of it and camping in between. Thumbs Up

Not too much planned this year.

Isle of man on Saturday for the TT, and I've just booked a week of trail riding in southern Spain for November, which should be a hoot.

Really need to get something else in the diary though, it's a very long time between now and November!

I might venture as far as Stourport on Severn one evening on mine. If I really get the touring bug again I might go on a trip as far as Stratford-upon-Avon maybe?

Thinking of a week or two tour around IoM followed by Ireland then back through Wales, still nothing concrete as I'm kitting the TDM for touring still at present but should be ready by August.

I really wanted to go to Spain but unfortunately nobody to go with and I don't fancy abroad solo yet Sad.

That's how I felt at first. Had a riding buddy lined up, then that didn't work out. Got another one in on it, then that didn't happen either. So I decided, sod it, if I don't go solo, at this rate, I'll never get to go at all, so I booked it anyway. In some ways, I'd rather be solo. I can stop when and where I want, as often as I want, without annoying anyone, it's easier to get chatting to people when you're alone, and I can alter my plans without argument. It's nice to have someone like-minded along sometimes to share the experiences with, but they can be a royal pain in the arse at times too. Especially when it's some random bloke off a bike forum you've only met 2 or 3 times before on organised ride outs, eh Neil? Razz

In Europe, there's really nothing difficult about it. They want your money as much as anyone else, so they tend to make it easy for you. As long as you have the essentials sorted, like breakdown, insurance etc, it's not really any more difficult than doing it in the UK.
