I had the pleasure of meeting this top guy on Monday. I was working in Grimsby and stayed there Sunday night and thought for a laugh see how far away from his work I was.

Well it turns our I was half a mile away so I drove by. About 10minuets later the sandwich van turns up and a minute later, Guy is riding up from the garage to the van so I shouts over to him to say hi. and over he pops! Thumbs Up Mr. Green

I did apologies and explained I drove 6hrs and would be great to say hi. He could have ignored me but he didn't and I asked if OK to take a pic and he said sure.

He even shook my hand. we chatted for a while he is a top bloke.

If I took a photo of someone and they had that expression in the picture, then the next thing I'd do is check my flies aren't open.... Laughing

I think the problem may be that the OP knew they were Laughing

It reminds me of the Jason Plato thread I once read on Pistonheads. It's very funny, worth a read

If you have read his book, you will know he doesn't like talking much and hates signing stuff. He also dose not like talking about racing.

We chatted about the lorries he is working on, mountain biking and he told me he is off to pikes peak in a couple of months, with a ford f150 style pickup.

I also asked him about Brian the chimp.

I sat next to an Irish footballer on a flight back from Cork last year.

He was pestered by someone if they could have a selfie with them. Their reason was that their friend was a fan of his team.

To which he replied, "What is your mate like 6 years old".

That sounds like the sort of thing Roy Keane would say.

Laughing

He's from Cork too.

You have to be fair to Guy, he does have Arse-Poo-Gas syndrome so he really, really doesn't like doing 'people stuff'. I can sympathise, also being sperg, and think he's brave as fuck for doing anything PR related.

Read his books, sounds like you did well to me. I'd have forgotten all that and just gone "when you going to win a tt" like knob.

I'm interested to know what you spoke about re: Brian. But appreciate this is the internet and that was a private conversation.

Met him at the TT a couple of years ago, got the 'Sperg side. McPint is the exact opposite of that as was the British side car racer whose name always escapes me.

His dog was nice though.
