Well i just received a Notice of Intended prosecution today.

Not too sure if they are charging me with speeding or with going through a red light and speeding.

In accordance with Section 1 of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 i hereby give you notice that it is intended to take proceedings against the driver of the above motor vehicle, a YAMAHA, recorded speed 63, time into red light 0, for the alleged offence of Exceed a 50 mph speed limit in contravention of a Local Traffic Order - automatic camera device at ** ** on ** ** **** .

Is this a speeding offence? And what is the likely punishment that they will give me for this?

The main problem is that they caught me speeding on a motorway camera. And i only have a CBT. Will they likely find out about what license i have and prosecute? or should we be good?

The devil is in the details. Let's see a picture of this NIP, in a sex dungeon, with some big latex balloons.

You've got to watch out for those red light cameras on motorways. Wink

Roger: your latex balloons have no place in a dungeon. If it's not mylar then gtfo.

My un-informed opinion is that the Offender will be sent to a Penis Colony like Croydon or Skipton.

Just within speed awareness course limits I believe (if they offer it to you). I got caught speeding by a 'red light' camera, can't remember anything off the top off my head, I probably still have the letters somewhere.

Slip roads have them at some busy locations. Stevenage is an example:

Was the lane you were travelling in closed, red X shown on the signage for the lane? If so, you may be getting fined for that if there was an ANPR on the gantry?

A few years ago, a friend's neighbour told me that a friend of a friend of someone that one of his other friend's neighbours once knew, received a similarly confusing NIP.
When he arrived at court, it transpired that he was there to answer a charge of stopping in a mother and toddlers' parking bay on the M74!

There are no traffic lights on the M62 heading into Liverpool. The only lights you come to are off the motorway at the end of the flyover. AKA Edge Lane Drive and definitely not a motorway.

O/P,It's a standard letter you have been sent used for both speeding and / or red light jumping offences. The fact you have a zero in the time after segment says you're just been done for the former.
Have you tried asking Pepipioo (wrong spelling but I'm sure you'll find it if you Google)? They're the experts with a hell of a lot of knowledge and experience....
