I used them for a Gearbox many moons ago, they did their bit but the garage doing the work tried to add a few bits on, the garage also screwed up the locking key for the wheels, but none of this was the AA`s fault.

Sounds like a bargain to be honest.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Well the AA, like any insurance will only use new OEM parts. So you will get brand new parts, fitted by a dealer for £200 or pay £180 for a recon unit and fit yourself.

And you are asking which is the best deal. Shocked

I'd fit a turbo myself. it's a fitter's job, not a mechanics.

2 * oil pipes to remove/reconnect
2 * exhausts "
2 * air intakes "
1/2 electrical connections.

Plus all the shit you need to remove to do it.

Mind you, you'd be doing most of it to replace a spark/glow plug

Its a dirty horrible engine, we wont even entertain doing turbos on these. Seen the garage next door get burnt fitting turbos to these engines.

Definite bargain. You can't put a price on not skinnng knuckles, rounding off bolts or banging your head on the bonnet catch.
