Might as well stick it here as it's more of a n00b question than a "how can i do this to my bike" thing.

The Street Triple 765 R LRH is out in August with a seat height of around 780mm - this is one that fits me out of the box. It also comes with all the toys i really will ever need.

But ......

The 765 RS / R are here now. The RS has all the stuff i'd need and a lot more stuff that i might want later plus it has adjustable front and rear suspension. With a lowering link kit and a slight adjust of preload i'd probably get that 825mm height down to around 790mm and with the narrower seat than my CB500, it's probably about the same height in terms of feet down. Also with confidence comes less reliance on flat footing so ....

What's the experienced view of this - bearing in mind i'll NEVER be a fast enough rider to really appreciate fully tinkerable suspension and i'm more likely to fall pregnant than to do a track day. Head says wait for the LRH model to come out in August and spend the difference in price on a quickshift kit and aftermarket exhaust, heated grips etc things i'll really appreciate from day one. Head also says the RS is complete and utter overkill.

Any of the new Street range are way better than my current bike, more than fast enough and any of them would be a bike i'll probably keep for a long long time.

Or do i pick up a nice condition 675 RX and make that fit instead - it's the old model now and has a billion aftermarket accessories and is tried, tested and still a very good bike.

I'd have decent suspension over everything else. Once you've had a bike with it you never go back to poverty level suspension.
