Shock horror - I have to praise Yodel

I ordered an engine crane on the 8th at about 1400hrs. from a firm on ebay consisting of 3 boxes, the lightest being 18kg, the other 2 heavier.

I got a Yodel tracking link from the firm less than an hour later. I didn't bother checking it then but did this morning about 0930hrs.

Website said order was out for delivery and there were 56 deliveries before mine. I kept checking back during the day and the 'before' count fell quite quickly until 2 before me at 1615hrs.

1630, doorbell rings, big Yodel truck with my crane on it. Dance!

As quick as the expensive 'next day, from parcel force. Better tracking. I was very impressed.

And no, I do not have any financial links with this company, Laughing

Although I am open to any reasonable bribe

How would they know your next door neighbours name if he didn't sign for it?

This one. Will give it a review when I test it.

One of my neighbours had a delivery from Amazon, the driver turned up at mine asking if I would sign for it.
He seemed super surprised when I refused and said 'No I can't stand the bloke and I don't want him on my doorstep
to collect this'. If it had been any other one of my neighbours I'd have happily taken it but Mr multi-culti topknot can fuck right off. The cunt! Laughing

Said someone with none of the details. My god! Did an integration™ bandwagon just go past you and you couldn't
help but leap blindly straight onto it. I wish I could say I was surprised. What triggered you? Was it the mention of a top knot?
Are you bald? Or more likely was it the mention of multi culti in a negative way that meant you couldn't help but stick an oar in.
It's nothing I wouldn't say to his face if he had the balls to even look me in the eye but whenever I see him he seems very
interested in his shoes for some reason. With any luck being totally blackballed by everyone in a 10 house radius
(and for very good reason, I might add) might see him sell up and fuck off somewhere else (if his building work ever finishes
that is, two years in and still going strong) as him and his Mrs are about as welcome here as a tumour on a lesion on a tumour.

How did the driver know your neighbours name then?

Edit, beaten too it. Sounds like the neighbour had a delivery too..... or by mistake.....

If it's a regular driver, they get to know who lives where, or the tablet autofills. The kids have signed for stuff and my wife, and it all shows as being me who signed for it Rolling Eyes

Had the same at work with deliveries when I'm off, not helpful if it's damaged when it arrives. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Had a similer situation with a phone

Parcel force driver tried to say it was delivered to post office and signed for by *****
Unfortunately for him my wife ran it and knew person was off that day

This neighbour waters plants for us when we are away
We do the same as he works all over the UK

He is a single bloke with a well paid job working for himself

He orders stuff from amazon as he likes rock music and takes DVDs away too watch when he is away

So they do know his name

New tablet has arrived today delivered to my mums house

I read that as "Smiler situation"

I was gonna ask if your phone had had an accident with a crash barrier.

Your delivery person must have been new to the job and didn't know he was meant to use your package as a football. I spent £50 on a toilet/cistern and it never showed up. Instead they sent me a picture of it smashed into bits on the floor and told me toilets aren't covered in their insurance and returned the broken package to the seller.

Never using them ever again.

yup, Yodel are shit, shows what outsourcing every part of a business does.

They lie to my customers saying we've never sent an item, unfortunately for yodel, it's actually their employee that comes in to the despatch facility, opens the collections cage, scans each one and loads it onto the wagon so if it's been scanned, Yodel have it.

as soon as I tell the online chat (no phone numbers available and chat can't provide one) they just disconnect.
