Starting shooting my air gun again, Its a springer (weihrauch hw35e) so has a bit of recoil

noticed last night im pulling to the right when pulling the trigger. As far as im aware the trigger is fairly light

Also adjusting my sight, groupings are fairly consistent, a couple of clicks on the adjusters an the shots literally go to pot, an fire all over the show - I kept a note of settings made etc.

weird

Does your rifle have hair trigger mode? If so, use that.

Are you keeping your grip light and relaxed?

I was sort of trying to hold it more firm into my shoulder, this is shoot from a rest/ prone too

Could kinda expect the shot to be all over the place if i was trying to gangsta fire it (hold the gun on the side).

I have made a target today out of a plywood/ OSB sheet so will fire some pellets an see how we go

How is your trigger finger contacting the trigger? Is it on the "pad" of the finger, or the crook?
It should be the pad.

You have to sort of relax and go with the recoil with springers - if you fight it then you lose accuracy. Also make sure you're not snatching at the trigger. Thumbs Up

this, pulling right is often bad trigger finger placement.

As said, finger placement or snatching the trigger as first problems. If you're happy those 2 things are OK, then use the diagram below to further resolve - sounds like you might be tensing against the recoil.

cheers all, i have figured its the scope or the gun

My dad came to mine last night an we had a bit of a shoot off, he battered me.

If i used his gun (with iron sights) i can hit everything, with mine its all over the place.

Tried adjusting sights on mine with no difference whats so ever Question

I will get it checked out

I've seen springers break reticles loose in scopes that are rated for full bore rifles, the recoil is not as severe as a .308 say but it's a vicious snap back and forth that the scopes weren't expected to handle,
