Hi all, just joined the group. I managed to get hold of a low mileage Barry sheene coloured gladius. Great bike and surprisingly good on fuel. Been looking for soft pannier holders but seem hard to find at a good price. The gladius seem to do everything I need from a bike so its a keeper for me.

They'll never top the original pink ones though. Whistle

Is that an aftermarket seat? The pillion pad looks like it's got the hump.

Why do you need "holders" for soft panniers? Sling and go, maybe put some tape or grip mat under them to protect the paint.

Agree.

The exhaust is well out of the way, so no worries there.

If it's a "don't scratch my paintwork" issue, there are far easier and cheaper ways to protect it rather than ugly fugly pannier frames Thumbs Up

Oh, the gang Shhh! Shifty

I hope they're not too harsh with you Smile

Yeah, wot they said ^, Kriega luggage or blankety stuff to protect paintwork, no horrible scaffolding to spoil the look - I mean, you went for the paint job because it looks nice, right? Wink

That bike looks painfully ugly.
I can't say I'm a fan of the colour scheme, but FGS it looks like they took parts off loads of differing bikes and slapped them together. Eh?

Is that a double ended gear shift lever that you activate with your heel or just a sticking out linkage?

I'm pretty sure the spare parts bin look was the exact design brief for the gladius

According some reviews, the busa is a very capable two up touring bike. Of course, it really needs someone to go ADV on it and bolt on Peli cases rather than Givi, or a milk crate where the top box goes so you can just drop stuff in.

It is. The pillion seat is nice and big with good grab rail. I used mine with soft luggage but most of the time I was solo so I didn't need the kitchen sink carrying capacity.

The only thing wih mine was that I had to play around with aftermarket rearsets because the standard riding position hurt my knees after a few hours.
