And it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that nobody anywhere got any pussy ever from riding an SV650/chemical castration machine? Laughing

Well he is a Canuck so do be sure you're gendering it correctly or it's off to the Gulag to be questioned by the thought police.

My money is on Indian or Chinese money buying them.
Either way we'll see the 125cc versions of the Monster, Hypermotard, Multistrada and obviously the Panigale, which would all be made locally.

Both India and China are long term investors and know that Ducati would give them a real strong bridge into the global markets.
They do have their domestic markets to fall back on but their main aim is global domination, which China is leading by a long way.

Oh, OK, MV Agusta.
They've always been so far above my price range that I've never been that interested.... Embarassed

Hi

I have zero trust in HD doing anything useful with Ducati. They could have made it with Buell but screwed up. They tried again with MV but dumped that at a vast loss. Wonder how long it will take them to change their mind and dump Ducati.

Can't see the Chinqs buying Ducati either, as things are alot more shakey in their economy now, and Ducati technology isn't what the Chinese are after really. If they can't make masses of cheap small bikes, they'd rather copy Range Rover's etc. I guess this is because the Chinese market is still very aspirational and people want to show off sucess, which big bikes are not really status objects to them.

They are happily buying up international automotive companies. Whether that is MG, Volvo, Saab or Proton (and getting Lotus with it).

All the best

Katy

They also bought a fair chunk of PSA (Peugeot).
