Hi there.
I've got a Peugeot Speedfight 3 that by and large goes really well.

However, recently the speedo/odo has stopped working. For a while, it would give flakey numbers (speedo would jump around from 0-200kph, and any other randomish number in-between). Now it just registers 0.

Any thoughts on where to begin diagnosing this?

Regards
Jo

either cable has snapped or the worm in the drive has broken

worm is the connection not a little animal that makes it work by the way Wink

Andy,
given the speedo is digital on the Speedfight 3, do they send a spinning cable up to the 'dashboard', or do they send an electrical impulse?

Either way, how do I go about fault finding? How can I tell if the worm drive has broken? (I am guessing that is easier to tell, rather than the cable?)

Regards
Jo

Looking at pics online it looks like a mechanical cable.

Probably easier for you to tell us since you've got the bike! Very Happy
