Put an 18'' rim on the front hub to match the rear wheel. You can get more than good enough road tyres in 18'' sizes, and on the skinny widths of an off roader.

18'' wheels won't drop the bike as low as proper 17'' wheels will. You'll get away with std forks, suspension and brakes.

The downside to all the above is that it won't have the proper looks or credibility and image of a real supermoto. But you need to decide if your converting your DT for looks? or for road riding performance?

Uprating your std brakes and making them work as well as possible along with fitting very road biased tyres in std off road wheel sizes, will get you a considerable way in how good a bike rides on the road, compared to a full supermoto.

When I had my last DT-R I used a complete set of DT-X wheels, forks and brakes to do the swap which came in at approx. £200 via ebay

I've now got a TDR125 (Italian) which is basically a DT-R with a fairing so you could in theory fit the front end from this model into yours and get an 18" wheel with massive Brembo brake set up at the same time.

Personally if I was really skint I'd get a mate to re-lace a DT-R rear rim onto the front hub and maybe make a bracket to move the brake caliper further out if I managed to source a bigger disc. The DT-X route is the best tbh
