The route starts in the chapel, goes down about 8 feet, turns left under the armoury, then out beyond the castle walls. Good luck, old boy ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

You were expecting answers like that from the start, weren't you
You could do the "Dambusters tour" on the way back, since you seem to (like me) be interested in the WW2 stuff:
Dambusters Tour from Colditz
The Moehnesee is quite picturesque - used to be a popular bike meeting spot on a Sunday (was a long while ago I used to go there, and from the north, so don't know what the scenery would be like along the way from the east). Couldn't tell you what the other two are like. I don't think that generally speaking it's the most scenic of areas of Germany, but you never know.
Could even do the "Market Garden" route (in reverse) after that: Arnhem, Nijmegen, Eindhoven etc. I've been to those too, but it just turned into a big piss-up so can't remember much about them
North-east of Nijmegen, there's a town called Enschede. We discovered a bar there that stocked 180 different bottled beers, and served them all in glasses with the correct brewery crest for each. There was some old Brit bike in a case on the wall. The hot food dispensing machine nearby is to be avoided though Frankly, I'm surprised I remember that much ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017
