well, came home this weekend to finish off putting it all back together now the bits were all here

the nice mr france, delivered my wheel, and some stainless steel braided hoses, a new screen, and some metal heel plates to replace those horrible plastic efforts

i put all the electronics back into the subframe, and all the switchgear onto the bars, including replacing a nackered throttle tube, putting the speedo cable nipples into the new throttle tube was a bastardly frustrating and fiddly job

front wheel went back in also, almost without incident, all greased up nicely as well, and it spins and spins and spins which means i can get something right at least, when it came to lowering the bike off the bricks, it all went a bit tits up, when my cheap rear paddock stand worked its way off the swingarm, and my front paddock stand's stupid bolt on one side twisted, hard to explain, but basically left me in a crouching position trying to support the bike, with only two points of contact with the ground, both unstable, frantically yelling at my bro to get the stands back in

managed to get both wheels and stand on the ground after a while, but was a bit of a heart in mouth moment

thats as far as ive got, went to try and start it, and flattened the battery thumbing the starter trying to figure out why it wouldnt catch....

....with the fuel tank still sitting on the garage floor

im a genuis me all that complicated stuff, and i forget that bikes need fuel to run, so stopped for the day now and charging the battery

cant ride it unfortunately, because despite the insurance brokers being open, the main insurer is actually closed at the weekend, i wish insurance was simpler, how do they justify opening on a day when they cant insure anybody, its ridiculous, but meh, thats another rant for another day

Good effort on the building, will be great when its all done make and you will be realy proud ( untill somethign falls off, or some egit its points out things wronge with it )
