Bought a 1995 206 to replace a 2005 307... 6 months into the policy, swapping over and I got a £75 refund.

Contradictory I know but years before, going from a 1998 307 to the 2005 307, again, got a refund!

I think they very much make it up as and when Thinking

I might have very briefly once mentioned my views on paying out for quadraspazzed humans, and how I feel it's going to put insurance companies out of business one day, and make insurance too expensive.

Maybe we need driverless cars and bikes now, and then a total exemption on personal injury claims, as how can you claim it was the computer that crashed your car, or ploughed through the bus stop queue etc?

I'd be happy if they just filtered out the (obviously) fake claims, and stopped the hire vehicle scams. Genuinely injured people I don't have a problem with.

I don't see why someone shouldn't be entitled to an equivalent hire vehicle - the "scams" would be far less lucrative if the insurance companies offered those equivalent vehicles themselves, but more importantly, if they got their fingers out and sorted the claim and repair much, much quicker.

I agree but I don't agree with the vehicles they provide. I got a brand new CBF1000* costing £70 per day when I wrote off my MT-03 Confused A guy at work got a Range Rover Sport. There's no reason why you couldn't ride or drive around in a bog standard vehicle, especially when the hire vehicle's higher spec'.

It's like the Darren Bent case, 64k for a courtesy car Shocked Are they f**king mad?
