I want to replace the crankshaft bearings in my Kawasaki AR50, which is a 6304 JR2 C3.

I can buy them on wemoto for £8 each +pp, but I can also get certain bearings free at work.

It seems that C3 code means it has more internal clearance than standard.
I've read that JR2 is a rivetted steel cage.

I'm pretty sure we have 6304-2RS bearings on the shelf, which I could take the seals out of. Should I worry that it has tighter clearances, specially being a 2 stroke, engine temps etc. Would be pressed steel race I think, not sure how much that matters..

I'm leaning towards buying the right thing from wemoto, but am I being too cautious?

If they're too tight, they'll fuck theirselves in under 2,000 miles. Whether they are too tight- I do not know.

The Wemoto ones are probably barrel-scrapingly cheap in quality. I'd remove the seals from the ones at work and fit those.

I've asked our bearing supplier for a price on the offchance he'll chuck me a couple freebies for 'trial'.
Otherwise, I'll be buying from the linked site.
