I love those old 900's. Shaft drive and a pretty torquey engine.
How they restrict, I have no idea. How would you restrict it? Well, I'd get my printer out and print 'This is certified to be restricted to 47KW or whatever it has to be. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Gotta be this, surely?
All you have to do is what you've done before, doesn't even cost you a hundred sheets and you can ride anything you like.
As for XJ900s, I've had them for 30 years and trust me, you wouldn't want one with half the power they left the factory with.
In saying that, it's not exactly the kind of bike you go hooning on, so you could probably get away with riding it as is for a while, if you keep your nose clean - as someone famous once said, do you feel lucky? ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........
