Normally you get jews doing a u-turn the other side of the lights (going in the other direction). Not being raciss there are just a lot of jewish people in Stamford hill.

Depends, he looked to be going at a decent speed, and I don't remember the brakes on my 125 being particularly good. Probably biased as I've done the same thing Embarassed

Is this an advertisement for the importance of wearing the correct size helmet? Saying that I've had the strap of mine come loose during a ride because the wind collars got in the way and only found out the other end.

I've had it happen to me the once across four lanes of 40mph dual carriageway, that was a fun encounter.

The rider didn't seem to have a discernable chin for the strap to go under.

Bet you could avoid it now somehow, even if it involved such drastic measures as not going at a decent speed.

Dunno, the camera bike had to brake fairly hard, sounds like the CBF locked up as well.

I don't think the scootay rider could have done much about that, except wear a proper helmet.

It looked like he was going fast just because he was only in shot for a fraction of a second but deformation on car (and head) are relatively minimal so i doubt he was going unreasonably fast.
Car driver is clearly a total plonker - the first bike at least was clearly visible when he started the maneuver, if he had bothered to look.

Typical for that part of town. Back when I was a motorcycle courier that area was one where I really had to be aware of prats driving very badly, and often being very angry at ME for nearly killing me. It's as if the normal rules of the road don't apply there. To be fair everywhere was pretty dodgy being a courier but I only ever hit two pedestrians and one van in ten years of high octane riding in the days before so many cameras.

The footfolk both just suddenly lurched out without looking from between parked cars. No real damage to either of us, just brown trouser moments, and white van man came out of a side street as I was hooting it through traffic like a madman. Saw him at the last second and clamped on the brakes, went sideways, and only marginally hit the van. My head (with fully strapped up helmet I might add) whacked the side of the van a bit and my footpeg dented his side door but I was fine so we just looked at each other as couriers and said fuck it and went on our way.

As a courier back then you'd just learn to BE FUCKING AWARE and personally I'd probably have avoided that car in the video by already expecting some dipshit to do something like that anyway but most riders aren't couriers.

It's possible the camera bike blocked the view of the car from the L plater.
