Hi all.
I've been googling about my bike problems and i found out that my mixture is apparently rich.
[The problem is that sometimes when i suddenly wanna go fast from lights not always rarely but it happens sometimes sounds like i choke it and doesnt go as fast as it should, it just happens sometimes when i try to accelerate fast from 0 and also when the bike is idling and i rev it suddenly up just to about 4-5k rpm but suddenly just quick turn and back then it drops below normal idle but then slowly comes back to normal but sometimes rarely but it happened few times that it got 1k or just below about to stall but it never stalled like this, and because never stalled like this i kept procrastinating about this]

But yeah how do make my mixture on my bike more lean ? What should i check or adjust, maybe go into diagnosis mode and check something [from what i googled some throttle position sensor or something like this]

What would you guys advice ?

Thanks !

Replacing the air filter would be a good start.

Fuel injected? If not, ignore what follows.

Once you've eliminated the air filter (if you are unsure how dirty is too dirty, you can also pull out the air filter briefly and do a quick run around the neighbourhood to see if the issue goes away or changes dramatically), anyways — check those things next:

Spark plugs? Sooty black (dusty?) This will confirm if your bike is running rich. I would start there. Maybe post a photo.

Assuming it is sooty black, you'll have to determine now why the ECU has trouble with the mix. There are various sensors. Either one of them may be off, and suggest wrong states to the ECU, which in turn mixes wrong. If you're reaching this state, I'd suggest you check your manuals or online and see if you can access the diagnostics menu on your dash, if there is one. We'll take it from there.

Take your chance and fit a rorty pipe. They sound wonderful on a proper 4-1. Won't be rich after that.

You have to try hard to run rich on one of these, 28mm carbs serving a 600 does not a performance bike make.

does the problem get worse as the bike warms up?

Wow, so i replaced the air filter just air filter as i didn't had time to dig in and unscrew all box and spend hours getting spark plugs out to check them will do this some other sunny day.

https://imgur.com/a/DpkM9

Wow just wow, this is what riding in london gets you where every second Bus smokes af and many other cars too how do they even pass mot with such black smoke coming out ?

The improvements i need to say are really great i see a lot of power improvement before when i accelerated for example from second gear and low revs it took a bit to speed up with new air filter you just pull throttle on 3rd gear and it gooess. A lot quicker throttle response and acceleration really nice.

BUT the problem still persist when i rev the bike when its at about 70-90 but i think even at 40c does it when i just blip throttle from the idle to for example 4k revs it goes 4k then drops below normal idle to minimum which is 1000 or even sometimes i would say 950 and struggles to get back to idle [when i say it seems like it drops slow takes time but it really just i would say second drops below 950 quiet sound as its about to stall but catches up back

Any idea guys Confused

Is it possible that my valve clearance is not adjusted properly ? After just 13 000 miles ?

As i dont really wanna mess about with it after watching videos how to, seems confusing so before i start checking valve clearance i would wanna make sure 100% its this fault as i dont wanna mess up with the engine.

The exhaust is changed, its an R6 exhaust pipes and after market exhaust can, but the lambda sensor is fitted correctly.

Sometimes when i filter slowly and just wanna rev a bit tiny bit like just to lets say 4k sometimes it seems to die ? like the engine stops working all quiet just for like mili second and then back again catching the revs, it doesnt happen often tho and mostly when engine is cold when its properly warmed up +95c then everything runs fine
