Hi all
Recently got hold of a fairly nice rg125 1992

Now I've taken the carb off as it needed a clean out, but there Dosent seem to be an oil feed going to the carb ?
So I took off the rear fairings to see where the 2st oil tank lines run to.
It seems to go in to the engine below the carb and another one comes out directly above and runs down the side of the engine somewhere?

Now I have an rs 125 I've recently built and that goes from to tank to oil pump to carb .

I can't work this out ?
There dosent seem to be any loose lines anywhere to go In the the carb line ?
And smokes like a goodun when it's running !
I'm thinking there definitely should be a feed in the carb !

Cheers

I seem to remember the oil pipe going to the manifold, not the carb. The pump is on the rhs of the crank and so the oil pipe would come up from there.

Thanks for your reply
Yes you are correct it does go to the mani .
But there is a bit on the carb at the engine side that looks as if it should have a pipe going to it ?

Thanks again

Find a workshop manual. There are a good few variations in 2-stroke oiling out there.

I'm no expert on 2-strokes, but it always seems to make sense to me to inject the oil directly onto the crank bearings and let the petrol mixture pick it up during primary compression.

I was thinking the same ,
Reading on google one line feeds the crank other should feed the carb , might explain why it's got the 40km in it .
I'll have another check .
Cheers

Right
Found it !
There is a tiny little uinion on the end of the oil pump for the 2nd feed for the carb , I couldent see it because the pipe had broken over the nipple and was black and covered in crap .
Anyway put a new pipe back on , connected up , just waiting for the liquid gasket to go off and it should be ready .

Thanks all !!
