Hi peeps,
I have just recently been re introduced to the world of biking after 28 years, and have just passed my bike test in June, now I own an imported FZS 600 Fazer on a '03 plate, I would like to know, if there are other bike parts that are compatible with it, like fairing, fuel tank anything else, etc.

Most of the parts from the first generation FZS600 will fit, as your bike is just a facelift of that. Pretty much only the plastics changed I think.

Some bits off the Thundercat and R6 of similar age will also fit. Also the rear brake off the TRX850 fits with some modification, which is supposed to seize up a little less often...

What do you need?

vtr fairing fits the fzs 600 with light modification...

boxeye fzs fairing fits foxeye and other way

fzs 1000 rear caliper fits with light filing on the standard fzs hanger

trx caliper fits with modding but more ballache than its worth

change the rear caliper asap if you plan on riding it in rain or winter.

braided lines help massively

thundercat engine does not fit.
oem filter is best.
you cannot (its not worth) jetting
+1 front sprocket takes away the feel of thrashing it everywhere

the torque arm for the rear caliper mount point on the swingarm is shit.. after a lot of winter use and not cleaning properly

my first when i got it and then when i was almost done with it

Much stuff is interchangeable with other Yammy bikes.

All but front fairing, headlights and associated brackets from older FZS600's will fit yours. But note, yours has better mirrors, bigger tank, front suspension preload adjustment, different grabrail and better pillion pegs.

Some stuff is same as FZS1000: e.g. mirrors, headlight cluster. Rear brake caliper fits with very minor mod (and well worth doing).

Some stuff is same as Thundercat: e.g. rear wheel.

Some sundaries are common across many Yamaha bikes, e.g. clutch plates.

Best plan, is find the piece you're after on Fowler's, get the part code and Google what else it's for. Just note last 2-4 digits can vary to indicate colour variations.
