Heh - the point I'm trying to make is that it is not a moped. In the UK mopeds are < 50cc and limited to about 45kph.

What you have, my friend, is a scooter.

Results !!!!! The flasher relay is built-in the regulator rectifier 😊

Hang on though, how did you confirm the rectifier is acting as the flasher relay? That picture looks like a bog standard rectifer/regulator to me. I'm not convinced Very Happy

I know you've stripped the thing down and found nowt but I just looked in the Haynes book and saw this, though bear in mind I think it only covers years up to about 2005:

Haynes wrote:
If the bulbs and sockets are good, test the signal relay. On Speedfight models remove the top handlebar cover, on Trekker models remove the headlight panel and on Vivacity models remove the front panel to access the relay (see Chapter 7).

Note: The signal relay on later Vivacity Sportline
models (with the electronic speedometer) is integral with the instrument cluster (see Step 7).

...

Step 7:

On Vivacity Sportline models, remove the
rear handlebar cover and disconnect the
instrument cluster multi-pin connector (see
Chapter 7). Check for voltage at the black wire
terminal in the connector (see Step 4). If there
is voltage, reconnect the connector and use
the test light to check the output from the
purple wire terminal in the connector (see
Step 5). The light should flash; if it does not,
the relay has failed. It is not possible to renew
the cluster relay, but a new relay can be wired
into the turn signal circuit (consult a Peugeot
dealer or electrical specialist).

So... is it hidden in the instrument cluster?

Ohh my god ! Maybe your right it's hidden inside the instrument then ? I already paid for regulator now lol

So if it still don't work I got to wire relay in there ? ! What a pain !

I dont even know how to do that
Proper crazy as I think your right ...

I think we've established that it's not a moped?

Quote:
The term moped (assigned category AM on a UK driving licence) describes any low-powered motor driven cycle with an engine capacity not greater than 50 cc (3.1 cu in) and a maximum design speed of no more than 45 km/h (28 mph). Before 19 January 2013, the speed restriction was 50 kilometres per hour (31 mph), and mopeds registered before 1 September 1977 were required to have pedal-assistance.

There isn' really a big bang R1. There's the normal straight 4 configeration thats used by most in line 4 bikes and cars and then there's the crossplane.

'Big bang' is a two stroke thing....

You want to make your wiring look something like this:
(obviously only focus on the wires going to and from the indicators.
https://i.imgur.com/dfHcnsz.png

Looks like you'll need to install a relay by tapping into a black wire (which is 12v supply with ignition on) to one side of the relay and the other side going to the indicator switch (purple wire). This is for a 2 pin relay, if you end up with a 3 pin one you will also have to connect its ground connection to ground (green).

I tap in to black wire today connected the B to black wire and connected L to snipped purple wire

Tried indicators and nothing happened it done the same thing only lit up the dash and stayed green

I have now ordered a second hand Speedo instrument unit for £25 POSTED.

I'm hoping this will fix the Speedo and the indicators

This all seems a bit mental. Have you checked under the battery, as per nobby's post yet?

the black wire is the live one. Check that you get 12v from it. You should be able to get continuity on the purple wire to earth when the switch is in either on positions.

I have checked under the battery nothing there

It's inside the cluster unit built in m going with

I've got a new speedometer unit on way and I'm going to replace all x16 T5 amber indicator bulbs at same time

Hopefully my Speedo will work again with new as that stopped same time my indicators stopped

Parts arrive Wednesday fingers crossed it's just the instrument that needs replacing only
As all them tiny bulbs going to be a pain to replace I've not even tested bulbs as I believe it's the relay as I played around and tryed to bodge a chiense 125 regulator in there and left a black wire disconnected then that's when all my problems happened . I put original regulator back in there and found out indicators and Speedo not working also my main headlight bulb was blown aswel

I didn't turn on the indicators for them to blow that's why I think it's the cluster relay inside the instrument as someone on here told me

If it is inside the cluster and my new speedometer cluster should fix it all if so I'll send the guy some money on here

have you checked that you are getting 12 volts on the black wire? I bet you aren't and thats why the indicators and speedo don't work.

Told you.....

Have you checked that you get power in the purple wire at one of the bulbs when you have the indicators are on?
