Pretty much 1mph under the Tut Tut limit

20 - 39
30 - 59
40 - 69
50 - 79
60 - 89
70 - 99

A lot of my commute to work and back each day is along the south circular. I have 59 mph down to a tee - unofficially of course...

I spend more effort trying to keep the bike sounding as un-obnoxious as possible in built up areas. Even at 20mph it
can still be potentially quite loud, so trying to keep that relatively sensible helps keep speed down by default.
Loud pipes saving lives yet again. Folded arms Live, mewing kittens spew directly out of my Akrapovic. Sun(They are slightly on fire a teeny bit though...)

I once did 10 times the speed limit, just because I could.

Some limits are just plain silly.

Was it a 5mph in a car park?😁

Nope, I was in a jumbo jet on the M1*

*might actually have been a car park in the car.

I ride a fast bike but don't really open it up often. Like my licence too much. However when there is a nice bit of quiet road.....! In traffic, I like to weave with care and speed tends to suit my mood. Filtering at 30/40mph can be a lot of fun, and legal! Sometimes I open up the throttle hard when I hit a dual carriageway and to be honest, I try not to look down. Don't push it much on the motorway - easy target for cops! Some of the worst speeding I see is on the slowest bikes! It would seem that if a 125's max is 70, they want to do it regularly. My bike's max is 185 but I'm OK at 70........mostly!

But surely only a total cock face would fit a GPS device to their bike or car, just to warn them about fixed camera sites?

I don't think anyone does that; my GPS is to keep me on target for curvy roads, usually. But when I'm touring across the continent, it's nice to know about the speed cameras especially in the national speed limit roads where otherwise you'd be riding to conditions - and you know those cameras are often on straights or on the exit of tunnels.

I've been stopped by French plod to run my plates for any outstanding speed cameras fines so it's not like you can just ignore them.

About 50% of my mileage, 5k or so per year these days, is touring. Most of the rest is commute or roads I know.
