I second the comment re: local press being interested if it escalates.

I work for a regional newspaper and if this got called in I would be all over it.

Just something to keep in mind.

Surprising (or not) how companies change their mind about things when they get a phone call from a reporter asking for comment.

I imagine this dealer would struggle if this ever went further!

DRZ400SM. Street Triple is overkill and in London it'll be stolen by Wednesday.

The DRZ supermotard is a great modernish urban town tool, and is kind of sought after and has a strong price level for what's now an oldish bike.

Its never been replicated properly since, with the right mix of performance/weight/reliability and practicality at an affordable price and with a big name dealer back up and straightforward spares supply.

If Honda did a CRF300SM that would be the closest a Jap bike has got to it since.

Not sure it's any less nickable than a Street triple though?

My friend's got Z1000SX and it seems like a really nice bike. He claims it's perfect for daily commuting and long distance journeys. Comfy, enough power, he says he can ride all day long and he said he can go as far as 200 miles from one tank of petrol sometimes. That last bit is hard to believe. I asked what tank size he's got.. it's 17 litres like my Fireblade apparently.. all I can get is 110 miles on average.. 130 on a good day.

Anyway Z1000SX is worth a test ride.

I would post them up here, only because they threatened to snitch on you, for riding a bike they were selling and should have been legal.

A DRZ will be stolen while you're on the way to view it.
