I think it's also fair to point out that if you're going to be an all-seasons biker, one set of gear is not going to work for the whole year. Eg, if you buy a jacket and trousers that will keep you dry and toasty in Arctic conditions in January, you're going to expire wearing that gear come a blazing hot summer day in August (as if ).
I bought all my kit last year in one horrendously expensive shopping trip, and told the bloke I needed something for year-round use and I spent my budget on that; he flogged me an IXS textile suit with a removable lining. As the weather got warmer this year I ended up having to buy another pair of gloves and a lightweight mesh jacket, which make life bearable in hot weather (but am way over my anticipated sum - not that I'm unduly bothered now)..
Just saying, when you're considering your total budget. you might want to bear in mind that one set of gear is unlikely to be enough ____________________ KC100->CB100N->CB250RS--------->DL650AL2->R1200RS->R1250RS |

Very true.
I have a pair of kevlar jeans for when its too hot for leathers, though only used them about half a dozen times this summer. Also i have summer sports boots and waterproof ones for winter and bad weather.Same with gloves.
So yeah, one set of gear is not enough. ____________________ Current Bike - 2000 ZX-7R |
