Anyone following / remotely interested in this fight / show?

Im a fan of the UFC, so kinda looking forward to it. Although it is all a bit self indulgent and pantomime-esc.

The idea that they could earn up to 100,000,000 each is nuts.

Mayweather within 3.

But it'll be interesting to see how the non boxer will cope with a life long pugilist.

Win or lose, Mo money for McGregor.

I doubt there are many boxers who endure being punched repeatedly in the head for the love of the sport! Get in, make your mark, make your money and get out without your brains being too badly scrambled!

Mayweather is clearly a very greedy wee fucker. He can't possibly NEED any more money, but he wants it either way!

I want to watch it - and I want it to last longer than 4 rounds... can't see it happening though Sad

Would love to see mcgregor hold his own.

I predict some showboating rounds 1-3 then mayweather with a couple of good combinations that results in the ref ending the fight.

Has a fight been confirmed, and if so, when? I think McGregor is an arrogant git but hey can't half fight. Don't know the other bloke.

Part of me wants McGregor to win by a fluke to knock the smug look off Mayweather's chops.

The other (larger) part of me doesn't care a jot about the result and thinks its a pantomime.

Same, can't believe people actually part with money for this shit, particularly when someone as humble as Mayweather's involved.

I'll be watching with interest. been a lifelong boxing fan and have trained and fought in the past. have also written for boxing news, so I like to think I know what I'm talking about, as does the oldest boxing publication in the world.

as much as I'm a huge fan of mma and McGregor, as with most other folks, I can't see the jump being made from some amateur youth experience to beating the greatest defensive fighter of all time.

but... I do think, if anyone can, it is someone like McGregor. the mentality of the man is something to be reckoned with far greater than any physical skills or attributes he possesses. his self-belief is almost psychotic, but I love it.

if he's going to pull it off, though, it will have to be within 4 rounds, after that Mayweather will have worked out his timings and movements and patterns and will run away with the fight one point at a time.

Most of this post surprises me that you would even bother posting?

Tbh. Although I would be surprised it he did, I would love to see McGregor win, or at least hold his own.

But yeah, I cant see it lasting more than 5 rounds.

While on the topic of fighting ludicrousness, Jon Jones has now failed a drug test AGAIN. Following the fight with DC, he has now been tested positive for steroids. The guy must be stupid!

Mayweather will win declare himself 50-0 and both will pocket more than your average Joe can comprehend.

Mayweather is a greedy wee cunt who the IRS are after.

The fight is only to pay a tax bill.

I sooo hope he loses and some proper hard kunt says Ding Ding to him in Sing Sing.

McGregor is a Pokey. He'll fight for the price of a caravan.
