Went for a run on the KTM, feels like ages since I've had a decent run.

Ullapool - Gairloch - Kinlochewe - Applecross - Srathcarron and back the same way as road was closed, 260miles.

The smartphone pics seem sharper than the DSLR ones, how come?

The Galaxy S8 Plus camera is pretty overlay sharp, but the photos were just chucked up not much editing.

Fantastic photos. Really love the DSLR ones, great composition. Nice processing on the edited dslr shot. What time of day were these taken?

The Go Pro shot is pretty cool too!

Really need to get my gear back out. got a Nikon 24-70 thats just rotting away!

Cheers mate, the time of day would be about 12ish, not great for photos as the sky was pretty blown out but i was more than happy with it staying dry.

Photos were taken on a 6D 24-105, smartphones just don't compare more with the DOF you can get with a dslr, would have loved to have taken the 70-200 but i need a better way of carrying the equipment as the bike is pretty viby.

The GoPro I'm looking the hero 5 as it can shoot in raw but i just wish you could have more control with these wee cameras.

Nice. Yeah, smartphone cameras are amazing these days, but nothing matches a DSLR.

You have done a good job with the sky. Do you calibrate your screen? I ask, because because the images have a touch of green tint. Nothing major, and look great, but the tint makes them kinda look like early morning shots.

I haven't ruled out my screen being the issue making them look green, as I am using the Chromebook at the moment and not my main monitor, but generally this screen makes things come out blue.

Still, great work, Certainly inspired me to get out and take some decent shots.

Fair enough. Colour management is a pain the the ass, especially when it comes to printing etc. I certainly dont mess that side of photography.

Just for a blast on the bike, down from Ullapool. Went to the pub and got chatting to two American bikers that had rode from London - Wales - Scotland and they said the next time they will fly to Scotland lol.
