Maybe she mentioned that she used to enjoy such and such, but lacked the time/money/opportunities to persue.

(eg, one of my ex's mentioned that she used to love making pictures from flowers when she was younger, so on an anniversary, we went for a romantic picnic (which she thought was my feeble attempt at a last-minute present), and we picked lots of flowers... when we got home I gave her a flowerpress, paper, frames and stuff) (still got one of her pics, very faded now )
