So, I recently bought this for the Tracer.

While, buying a Ram Phone holder is the plan, there are many cheaper ones out there. So I was wondering what Ram compatible phone mounts people have used. I dont want to trust a poor copy with my phone.

Just get one of those universal waterproof zip up jobbies from ebay for a few quid, I've used one for years with a sat-nav or phone.
Only issue is they can mist up in the wet so lately I just leave my phone in my pocket and listen to directions through the bluetooth in my lid.

X-Grip, £10ish off ebay. Works a treat. I prefer the mirror mount over the handlebar mount.

Make an offer works well.

I'd be concerned about how secure my phone would be in that.
Don't know how it works, but looks like the phone could potentially slide out.

Also, relies on you having a waterproof phone (or only riding in the dry).

Ive got an x-grip. Your phone isnt going to fall out of it but they do a rubber grip thingy that attaches to the mount and goes over the corners of your phone if you need some piece of mind.

What he said, it's not going anywhere. It'll happily turn your phone off if you put a grip over your power button

I've done NSL down Welsh singletrack back roads, and the associated potholes, gravel and other shit, with a Nexus 6P in one, that's almost a sodding tablet and is not cheap. Keeping it dry when there wasn't a waterproof case on release for that phone was more of an issue.

I was meaning that you were right. I trusted mine with a honking big £600 phone, pity my jacket pocket wasn't as reliable.
