So the engine might have been freshly rebuilt after all. I wouldn't even bother the previous owner, as you're gonna just look silly for not putting in any two stroke oil.
Lessons learned, time to rebuild the engine once again. Not expensive, not complicated, do it yourself. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

If you put a 70 kit on it you'll no longer be licensed to ride it. Get caught and they'll hang you for no license and probably no insurance too. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

It sounds like it has seized but a few pertinent questions, how far have you ridden this bike?
There should be an oil tank that requires refilling ever x number of tanks worth of fuel, and you will have a low oil level light on the dash? Smoke is good (within reason)...
Have you ridden more than a tanks worth?
Was there a light illuminated on the dash?
I rode an NSR for > 4 years and never changed the piston, had it 'nip' a few times over the years but it was not terminal.
It's a bit hard to grasp how people are getting hold of 2 stroke bikes and not getting the basic information? It's not exactly complicated... I mean I assume they can manage to fill a fuel tank? |

the bike had oil in it, i checked, and there was an oil light lit up but i thought that was because it was stood for a while. the bike was ridden for about 10 miles |

Leave it as is or fix it. Don't bother polishing your lemon for someone else. It will sell, I'm sure about that. It might take some time and you might be losing money, but it will sell.
Also, I hope you tell who ever you're selling it to, that it was seized, if you decide to not bother with sorting this out first. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ
