PostPosted: 19:19 - 11 Sep 2017    Post subject: Dog Peeing Reply with quote

My dog pees in front of a neighbors car on his walks and my neighbor has started threatening me after a tirade of abuse, he is an ex copper and he and hi wife are nasty old pensioners who think they own the street, they even had there garden flagged and the whole curb dropped in front of their house to stop cars from parking in front of it. He has a son in law who is a copper as well, over the years we have just ignored their sly comments and verbal abuse but they seem to be on a mission at the moment. I was told to piss off back to Blackpool where i come from as well. I have reported it to the police and they asked if I want to have a investigation but i declined and just had it logged, and no there in there seventy's so i cant fite them.
Does any one know of any laws my dog and I may be breaking if he pees in front of the car.
Thanks

He is only doing it to over mark another dogs mark, so you could try spraying a repellent near the car ,say the curb.
As for legalities I don't think there is anything.

Maybe if it was repeatedly peeing ON his car, there would be some issue.

Perhaps he thinks this is what's happening?

Did he get planning permission for the dropped kerb? Because it's hard to get. Easy to check and you could dob him in. Would be childish though.

Nope.

Public place occifer etc etc.

The only way he could get anything on you is down the harrassment route, if you were video'ed enticing the dog to pee specifically on / near his car.

(So stop doing that... Smile )

Thumbs Up

Police did say it could be seen as a hate crime, he had planning, now they can fit up to 7 cars and they own 1 lol. Dog doesn't pee on the car just in front in the same spot.

Well, where - on his drive, against a wall, on the pavement, road? Public or private property?

Right on the edge of both drive and footpath.

Unless you are on their drive (and they have previously asked you to leave) while the dog is peeing. And you are coercing the dog to pee on it...

There's not a lot they can accuse you of.

You might be targeted with some kind of ASBO if they can somehow get "witnesses" or video evidence that shows you purposely letting your dog pee on their property.

If it's on the pavement and not their drive - ignore them. Your dog can piss where it likes.😀

Edit: if it was me - and I got on with my neighbors because they weren't complete bell ends... I'd pull the dog a few feet past to stop him....

If they were actually bell ends. I'd just turn a blind eye. A lesson to be nicer I feel Smile

I'd leave the dog at home and go out and personally piss in the same spot and see what happens. Nothing changes unless you change it.

Next time you're out with the dog, take a plastic bottle of water so you can increase the size of the puddle to add some confusion to the situation and to test the old guys police skillz.

This needs more detail. Does your wolfhound howl all night and then hose the entire street every morning? Laughing

It's just what male dogs do. You aren't going to train him out of it especially if another dog pisses in that spot.

I suppose what you do depends on how much you wantto get a fued going and whether their son is going to start twisting the truth to get you in trouble.

I'd ignore it and as long as your dog isn't going on his property to piss, let him carry on.

I do like Ste's idea with the water bottle though Laughing Thumbs Up

last years a lady and her terrier would stop and have a chat for a few minutes, the dog got wise to this interruption and if the owner stopped for more than a minute ,the terrier would piss up her leg ! Embarassed

So the old goat is most probably moaning at every dog owner who uses that spot.

out of interest could the old boy spray the area with a different scent which would put the dogs off from making that spot ?

I suggest buying a cat.

He'll soon have something else to whine about.

Failing that, pop a flyer for a local swingers club through their letterbox, perhaps they need some excitement in their lives.
