I`m back from my tour of Welshland and thought I`d share.
It rained A LOT !
Day 1 : Nothing to exciting .
The Mighty Hyosung 250 was my choice of steed.
https://thumbs.imgbox.com/1c/00/29aKSIum_t.jpg
Started from Ipswich , straight along the A14 & M6 into Birmingham for the night .
luckily when I got to my relatives house they knew I`d be wet and had dry clothes and drying space ready for me Thumbs Up

Day two : Birmingham to Oswestry via the A5, somewhere around here I stopped for a really yummy? food stop.
https://thumbs.imgbox.com/5a/e3/BjBOsgIf_t.jpg
Then onto Llangollen.
I carried on the A5 all the way to Capel Curig.
the A5 gets better the further you go into Wales, I didn`t care much for the Engish end of the A5 as it was just like any other A-road and busy.
Did I mention that it rained the whole way?.
From Capel Curig it was onto the A4086 to Cym-y-Glo.
I stopped here for the night at a bunk house.
https://thumbs.imgbox.com/a7/b7/vvbCbxWb_t.jpg
https://thumbs.imgbox.com/9a/5b/MsQznosq_t.jpg
I had the whole bunk house to myself until about 11.30 pm when a group of five rock climbing types turned up and generally farted a lot and stunk the place out and snored a lot, hey-ho it`s a bunk house.
I wasn`t going move from the bunk house cos it was raining!

Day three : Cym-y-glo to Llanddewi Brefi using the A4086-A498-A4085-A487-turn left at Aberystwyth-A4120 to Devils bridge.
I didn`t get pictures there as the river was up and angry, and I was cold and wet because IT WAS RAINING! Laughing .
From there onto the B4343 all the way to Tregaron.
When I got to Tregaron, it was closed and not a soul to be found .
Not even the local shop was open so I pushed on to Llanddewi Brefi which is about five miles away.
However that five miles was a whole world of difference in the weather and landscape.
If I thought the rain was hard at the bottom of the mountain, sheeze! you should of been there at the top of the pass Shocked !
The road going from Tregaron to the hostel at Llandewi Brefi got worse and rougher the further on I got.
https://thumbs.imgbox.com/9b/5e/FwBgK5Wo_t.jpg
Finally I got to the hostel.
https://thumbs.imgbox.com/1b/a6/BppCRUtu_t.jpg
https://thumbs.imgbox.com/e2/1c/gtL4ufg8_t.jpg
It was nice to get out of the rain.
They even had a shed where they said I could put my bike for the night to keep it out of the rain and give it a chance to dry out.
Luckily for me the nice lady running the hostel kept a small supply of food for guests to buy if they got stuck, so a dinner was had.

Day three : " Going back to Brum"
Day three was supposed to be a day of exploration.
I made my way to Tregaron for a nice fat breakfast with welsh bacon & sausages,
https://thumbs.imgbox.com/70/98/O3yDLNrS_t.jpg
However it rained so hard that I wasn`t enjoying being on the bike and looking for things/places to visit.
I decided to cut my mini tour a day short and head for Brum/warmth/shelter/hot bath/hot food.
So up the B4343 - back past the Devils Bridge and left onto the A44.
A word of warning for fellow travellers of this way, there are very few petrol stations along this route, so fill up before you set off.
From there to Newtown became more worrying as my petrol gauge indicated lower and lower Shocked , I was down to one bar by the time I got to a service station in Newtown Doh! .
Then the A483 - A5 to Shrewsbury and then Brum and still it rained Evil or Very Mad .

Day four : was just M6 - A14 back to Ipswich in the rain!

Yes it was good to get out on the bike on roads that had hills and vistas worth going there for.
I think I have broken my rear suspension when I hit a pot-hole near the Devils Bridge Crying or Very sad
the bike is filthy and maybe a bit broke, but she never missed a beat the whole trip.

Not every body in Walesland hated the Visitors/English Smile

Read what it says on the sign on the shop wall.
If you click/tap on the pictures, they should get bigger? I think? possibly?

A few more pictures taken during my little outing.
1. seen flying in many many places on my travels.

funny ? if I flew an English flag from my home, I`d be considered a racist?

Just in case you missed it, it rained a lot Smile

I've ridden the A5 same, but from Milton Keynes onwards. Yes, sucks in the English end a bit.

Glad you had a good time, well the best you could of considering the conditions. Shame about the rain. Hows the bike/suspension?
