I think the issue now is that with the dvla no longer issuing V5s you'll be effectively unable to sell the bike on (unless it's for track use). I don't know what other problems you're likely to come across, with insurance etc., I can't imagine they'll be thrilled about paying out (in future) for a Cat' B.

It might be worth checking if it has actually been recorded (use the autotrader trick), I think it takes about a week but they might forget to do so Praying

Out of interest do you have the engineers report (what does it say the damage was)?

I assume Cat B for a bike is the same as a car in that insurance will only sell it to a registered breaker and not to the general public (i.e. current owner) cannot ask to buy it back?

Plenty of people, not breakers, using online sites to break cat B bikes. Any decently populated FB group should have one on it.
