"A motorcyclist who performed wheelies and took a selfie while driving on the M6 has been jailed for eight months."

Seems about right TBH.

However, one thing that always gets me with these cases where there's loads of video evidence is how long the rozzers will let it go on for, before making their move. I mean, after the 4th, 5th, 6th wheelie and standing up on pegs moments they felt the need to let him carry on for another few miles mucking about with his rucksack rummaging, and then accelerating to over a ton, before finally putting an end to it all.

How much did they need to secure a conviction of this such dangerouse, very kitten killing activity?

Might have been near the end of their shift and they were hoping he'd throw his lid at them so they could break off pursuit.

His problem was he should have done it on a stolen bike. Then he could have had a 50p fine and 5 minutes community service.

Seems like a harsh punishment. No one was injured and the only one likely to be harmed was the biker if anything did happen.

Punishment doesn't sit well with me considering if you kill a biker on the roads and get a handshake and tube of smarties from the justice system.

is it illegal to ride with no hands?

or one hand for that matter?

Or do they just put it under 'due care and attention'

Not in proper control. Offence and "definition". One-handed would be a real stretch given that the highway code still contains hand signals.

stinkwheel reckons he got tugged for proper control when standing on the pegs of a trail bike that was designed to be controlled from that position.

It's what you get done with when Dibble nabs you for using a mobile and it turns out to be an apple but his tiny ego can't deal with being wrong.

Curiously, eating a banana gets you done for careless. No consistency in fruit based offences. Sad
