Hi BCF gurus............can you help?

Wife's car was side swiped by elderly gent this lunchtime. Evil or Very Mad

He drives a 2006 Audi and admitted liability (signed a confession) we have address etc, but he doesn't know who he is insured with. Been on google and through MID number plate check etc confirms he is insured.

I would wish if possible to deal direct with his insurers and not involve mine this is totally non fault and full liability admitted. How can I find the name of his insurers given the information I have?

Many thanks for any pointers

Cool

Contact him and ask him to get the details.

This isn't a drama, lets not turn it into one.

No drama, read "elderly gent" doesn't know who he is insured with. This day and age just wondered if with reg number there was a way of finding out who insures what vehicle on the road?

Thanks anyway Wink

https://www.mib.org.uk/check-insurance-details/

Found by googling "find out who insures a vehicle"

Also if you're going to claim from their insurance you'll need to notify your own (if it's a condition of your policy) it'll be entered on the cue database and they'll know.

It's useful that you don't want to involve your insurance company since you making a claim from someone else is nothing to do with them. Laughing

Worked with LV when our van was rear ended.

For the record spoke to broker who advised to let their insurance sort it and involve mine if any problems.

askMID (mobile) roadside service: https://stayinsured.askmid.com/roadside.html

Pro tip: You can enter any fake email address as long as it's a recognised extension (hotmail etc.). Also clear history etc. if you're doing multiple searches. Arcane has just crashed with Bodytard Whistle

Oh, neat, thanks. I'd never visited there from a mobile before, that's handy.

It's a very handy way of getting you to report the accident to your insurer before you have time to decide if it's worth it.
