I can't see this anywhere else but apologies if it is.

Man pushes thief scum off stolen bikes and gets prosecuted for GBH

It seems like the jury went against what the judge said when he summed up from what I read in another article. (which I can't find atm)

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-41323955?SThisFB

Good on the jury Thumbs Up

Edited because of stupidity Embarassed

Are you in any doubt that he'd have been anything but a career criminal and fiddling the sick all his life anyway?

If he's properly potatoed then the primary burden will fall on the family that raised him to be a thief lad-who-was-having-an-innocent-lark-on-a-scooter-that-he-just-found-legit, and he's not likely to breed.

Sadly, when the thief lad-who-was-having-an-innocent-lark-on-a-scooter-that-he-just-found-legit was potatoing out, he was attended by a couple of coppers who treated him with exactly the courtesy and respect that he fully deserved. Unfortunately, the shiny-backsides at the IPCC fitted them up for gross misconduct. Sad

Still, one chav off the streets, and hopefully the whole extended family will get done for a string of offences if they follow through with their public threats. I'd call that a result, net.

I don't think it can be described as "fitting up" when they actually were guilty of it. They were in direct contravention of their own guidelines for dealing with head injuries (and twisting his arm up his back while he staggers about with a swollen potato for a brain is a big no-no for obvious reasons).

Now having said that, it's hard to care about his impending life of potato-ness except for the burden placed on an overstretched care services for adults with disabilities (most of them not self imposed nor nearly so deserved). His friends attacking the guy as he goes for help and then the paramedic? Keepin' it classy! Rolling Eyes

Guidelines written and enforced by backroom mouse nudgers who are a long way from dealing with a combative chav in the wild.

How exactly would you have dealt with him when he tried to get up and leg it?

I cant beleive youre actually sticking up for the lad? Did you even read that report ... Its a disgrace what lawyers do. The witnesses (who clearly know the lads name by the way...) have all tried to get their own stories straight (and failed in places) and trying to sue to officers for some money for their little angle fli hi...

I'm actually disgusted by what i have just read (that report) and no wonder why no one wants to be a police officer.

Due to the actions of two idiot kids (and their dickhead mothers etc), two officers have probably lost their careers, an old man probably wont travel the same way to work or feel the same again (guilty).

Im gonna ignore the fact he was potatoed he clearly deserved it.

From the photo on that article the path doesn't look overly wide.
Did the chap in his sixties launch himself at some scrotes on a moped, or did they buzz him so close that he instinctively pushed out to avoid getting hit?
The jury believed the latter and I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt too having been buzzed by scrotes on a quadbike with no lights in the dark on a cycle path. I would have happily seen them roll it into the ditch and get pinned underneath it with significant head injuries, but sadly they went on their scroting way after almost potatoing me. Fckers.

instinctively people move away from a movin vehicle.. yes it is a narrow path but there are green borders to the side .. he waited and took his chance as they went by .. thinkin they would end up in the sh1t at the side of the path ..

ride round off road and you get these arrogant fcukers all the time..
don`t get me wrong the little sh1ts on the moped did not give a stuff about him and if he was in the way would have knocked him down..

but neither one was any better than the other .. lock them all up in adjacent cells ... could easily have been the other way round and mr push in a wooden box.

I guess so.
This is BCF, people post some legal or moral injustice regarding motor vehicles 10 times a week.
Usually interesting reading, even if infuriating sometimes.

The first time the stolen scooter tries to run them off the footpath, yes.

The second time, having them off is bonum commune communitatis.

There could have been children on that path.

I mean, children who weren't scooter thieves.

I'm pretty sure the one that didn't steal the scooter was better.
