Alrighty, then.

According to the above, we can now strike deals from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, but such crowd of eager ambassadors fighting to be the first in line on No. 10 doorstep would be somewhat unmanageable, so how about we just track the remaining G20 members?

In the first 15 months after the referendum, striking new trade deals has been a resounding success, yielding zero new deals. We still have the one with EU, but that one is of course evil and needs to be repelled.

Below is the handy list, probably will need updating frequently as those deals just keep coming!

Pointless thread surely, while we're part of the EU's common commercial policy, we cant make any new free trade deals with 3rd countries

Also, how can we have a trade deal with France/ Germany hen they're part of the same trade bloc?

As a snowflake, millennial liberal I am pretty butthurt about Brexit, however it’s probably worth knowing your audience and know that these types of threads just wont fly here.

Well if that's the case, I'd be questioning the veracity of the Wiki list.

Akrotiri & Dhekelia are the 2 RAF bases in Cyprus, i'd love to know what the "trade deal" was, spare white paint is a possibility.

That's not what they said:

Are you trying to say we were blatantly lied to by the Great British Independence bringers? 😨

Rob Fzs wrote:

Are you trying to say that the EU "failed project" is not "doomed" and France, Germany, Italy et al will still belong to it in the next few weeks? 😱

It's not to please the local beautiful minds; it's just curiosity as to for how long after the game is over there are still diggers out there looking for the hare.

Write one, sign, ratify.
In a nutshell, because British Overseas Territories are not part of UK, they are not currently in EU and need separate agreements to trade with it.

Are you proposing that we take a hard Brexit immediately, freeing ourselves from EU obligations so we can crack on with worldwide trade?

The EU is a facade for corporate government. A merger of NAFTA, the EU, the African Union etc would be the next step. The project to eliminate nation states is proving harder than they expected Laughing

At some point you've got to move on Smile Had it gone the other way I'd have thought oh well we're doomed, but got on with my life. I also doubt talk of a second referendum, and debate about what the vote actually meant would have been entertained (at all), had the result gone the other way.

It's a bit like with any election, a party wins and everyone gets on with their lives, unless you're anti-Trump Very Happy I think the common link's just how scared people get when the unexpected happens, and just how biased the media/arts etc. are when it comes to political opinion.

It's certainly been eye-opening.

That's because you would have had the status quo. As it is, nobody knows what we're going to end up with or how badly it's going to hit the UK economy. Until we know where we're going, it's important not to stop vocally worrying or complaining, because that's the only thing that can affect the outcome.

Status quo but continuing along what a lot of people thought was the wrong path. We were promised economic Armageddon by Remain... which hasn't happened.

It's not that is it? There's been deliberate attempts to nullify to referendum result, and I also believe there are people who deliberately want it to go badly, due to some weird butthurt psychosis.

I suppose where you work you have a vote on something, then argue about the result afterwards, then continue arguing about it whilst you're putting that decision in motion?

Its all smoke and mirrors.
Deals are still being struck, no doubt this sort of thing doesn't worry all those people at the Arms Trade fair last week, I suspect they were doing a roaring trade, regardless of where they were coming from.

Watch your privacy and security laws, chaps.
Things may be being done to them in the so-called avenues of Democracy whilst you are looking the other way.

We will, once we actually leave.

Our problem is that Sharia May was, is, and will remain a Remoaner.

She clearly has no intention of delivering a real Brexit. Her words in this matter are irrelevant. Only her actions (lack of) count.

Having read that link, it's clearly not a "trade" deal, apart from a paragraph about "customs control" it basically says the SBA must abide by the local, (Cyprus), and EU rules and regulations!
