Paddy - it already has a charging indicator light on the dash/ cluster thingy.

Yeah I get what you mean, it goes fast with out any fuss etc.

Im use to my Bandit, where you have to wring its neck to get anywhere...

One that shows voltage correctly? Blackbird loves that regulator chewing action.

My bike had a 12v socket which was useless (every plug I tried fell out while riding) so I fitted something like this...

Seems to work really well and powers the sat-nav while charging the phone in the tank bag. Cheep and cheerful and reads 0.1v high according to the multimeter, good enough.
