Image heavy but feeling proud. Need to get a new garage door as the current one is cracked in the middle but yeah pretty good knowing the garage has electricity. Just need to sort out the front to make it pleasent save annoying neighbours and get the large furniture.

Nice one, it looks good. Thumbs Up

I particularly like that the bedroom carpets match the gravel in the back garden.

Congratulations, time to bring a motorbike into the front room and sit in your pants admiring it while drinking beer.

Free aerobie on the garage roof.

Re. furniture, auction houses are good. The British Heart Foundation have charity shops for furniture and white goods. Some local authorities run a housing charity that supplies used furniture to people in emergency situations and fund it by selling pieces of said furniture to the general public from their warehouse.

Oh, and solid, old brown wood furniture is cheap. It can also be painted.

Good on you Smiler, Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up I'm quite close to getting the keys to mine. Had a big bundle of paperwork through
from the solicitor today, I'll get the wife to go through it all later, I'm marshalling builders at my place so too busy.
I still owe you that burger, I haven't forgotten. Since you're there and in already it's up to you to pick somewhere.
Have a look around while you explore your new neighbourhood, but if all else fails GBK will be a good shout. I'll let you
know what week I'm up doing the renovation, it may be a little while as I'm needed here while works get going with my
outbuilding. But at most it will be end of November ish although I may show my face before that to change the locks
on the house. I think that's a big up yours to the doubters. Laughing

I have a large armchair going cheap. I just bought a cuddle chair for the living room and have a large armchair
looking for a new home for a nominal fee. Washable covers and hardly used, can bring in the van when I come up.
I'll pm you some pics if you are interested.

nice,

if your neighbours get upset at the front of that house then they're up themselves a bit, perhaps trim the grass a bit in a week or two.

my neighbours put up with quite a lot when I moved in, from ripping the tiered front garden out and having a mud hill with path for 6 months to having the back alley dug up to re-lay a water main and the back garden looking like a builders yard for two years...

on a serious note, enjoy, plan, and if doing disruptive work, drop a note through your neighbour's letterbox and let them know what and an expected timescale, it's surprising how long people will put up with things provided they're informed about it!

Is the swing frame strong enough to use as a bike hoist?

dafuqs up with the front of that?

Looks smashing Smiler.

My house has looked like a building site ever since I moved in. I've always spoke to my neighbours about the plans and they've all been really nice about it. AND they're mostly retired folk too.

Ultimately, fk the neighbours, as long as it's not a total grotfest they can keep their noses out.

There's a surfeit of unemployed Playboy bunnies at the moment, so get a nice comfy bathrobe, silk pyjamas and a pipe, and fill your mansion Smile

If you buy something on "credit" is it actually yours even though you have not fully paid for it yet?

But hey, Yeah sammy should post in the thread.
