depends on context really that doesn't it?

compared solely with 1000cc+ race rep bikes... yeah, slow.

compared against all other bikes... nah, it's pretty quick.

compared against all vehicles... at the properly fast end of the spectrum isn't it.

you can get an old high mileage sprint 955i for peanuts and they apparently return 50+mpg and it is a fast bike.
