The ZZRD won't be a bad bike, I just think if you were to get a ZZR, get a E3 or later, adjustable forks from then on IIRC. But also ram air and some good noise. But best is, like I say, all the bits from other bikes will fit, lots of choice.
But for less than a grand, go off condition purely. An older, more looked after bike will be better than a newer, neglected example. ____________________ I'm Sam; Northern, Ginger, Lover

CBR because unless you're planning to throw the bike down the road and leave it in a ditch, it'll retain more value and therefore cost you less. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I've got a soft spot for the ZZR, first big bike I had, but it's gearbox gave up on 2nd putting me through a bush exiting a roundabout, the D model had more 2nd gear issues than the E (which I had) so have to vote against it here. ____________________ Looking to pass your CBT / Bike tests in Bury Lancashire? try www.focusridertraining.co.uk Would recommend.
